Affiliate disclosure
Plank & Plot is free because of ads and, on some pages, affiliate links. This page explains both, as the US Federal Trade Commission asks sites to do.
Affiliate links
We don't use affiliate links yet. If we add them, they will be labeled where they appear and the programs will be listed on this page.
Ads
Ads are served by Google AdSense and labeled "Advertisement." We don't choose individual ads, and advertisers have no say in our content.
What money doesn't change
No one pays to be included in our calculators, guides, or shopping lists. The shopping lists name the types of products a project needs, not specific brands we're paid to promote. Our formulas and the sources behind them are explained on every page and in how we calculate.
